The month of Ramadan has a great importance in our religion and has a distinguished place among other months. Because our holy book the Quran, was started to be revealed in this month. The "Night of Decree", which is stated to be better than a thousand months in the Quran (the 27th night of the month of Ramadan, which is considered very sacred by Muslims as the night the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad) is also celebrated in this month.
In addition, fasting, which is one of the basic prayers of Islam, is also performed in this month. (Fasting is a practice that has been associated with a wide array of potential health benefits, including weight loss, as well as improved blood sugar control, heart health, brain function and cancer prevention.)
For these reasons, the month of Ramadan is the holiest month for Muslims and it has been called "the sultan of the eleven months".
